Who is responsible
CapEx Engine is owned and operated by MALIKA GUPTA, India and is responsible for your personal data under India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023.
What we collect
- Account: your name, email address, and phone number if you add one; a password (stored only as a secure hash) or your Google sign-in identity.
- Your work: the projects, designs, simulation results and reports you create.
- Photos you upload for AI layout: sent for analysis and not kept by us afterwards.
- Payments: Cashfree takes your card, UPI or bank details on its own secure page; we never see them. We keep the order, plan, amount and status, and the mobile number given for the receipt.
- Technical: sign-in sessions, the device and browser type, the network address used for security limits, and error logs.
Why we use it
To run your account and the service, to take payments, to send the emails you ask for (sign-in links, notifications you can turn off in Settings), to keep the service secure, and to fix problems. We do not sell your data or use it for advertising.
Who processes it for us
- Render (hosting and storage, Singapore region)
- Cashfree Payments (payments)
- Anthropic (reading the photos you upload for AI layout)
- Resend (sending email)
- Google (only if you sign in with Google)
Each receives only what its task needs.
How long we keep it
While your account exists. Deleted projects stay in Recently deleted for 30 days; deleting your account removes your projects, sessions and notifications at once. Backups are kept for 14 days. Payment records are kept as long as tax law requires.
Your rights
You can see and correct your details in Settings and delete your account there. You can also ask us for a copy of your data, a correction or erasure, or withdraw consent, by writing to vivangpt25@gmail.com.
Children
If you are under 18, use CapEx Engine only with the consent of a parent or guardian.
Security
Passwords are hashed, sessions are secure cookies, every request is checked against your account, and connections are encrypted. If a breach affects your data, we will tell you and the authorities as the law requires.
